| Description | Efficiently isolate cells expressing epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) from fresh or previously frozen human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), leukapheresis products, or cell culture samples in as little as 15 minutes with the Human EGFR Positive Selection Kit. Desired cells are immediately ready for use in downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction. Using immunomagnetic technology, EGFR+ cells are labeled with antibodies and magnetic particles and isolated without the use of columns. Labeled cells remain in the tube while unlabeled cells are poured off. Depending on your research needs, either fraction may be used downstream. This kit targets EGFR, which belongs to the ErbB family of tyrosine kinase receptors (RTK) expressed on the cell surface of circulating tumor cells (CTCs), macrophages, monocytes, plasma cells, and certain T cell subsets, such as effector CD4+ T cells and FoxP3-expressing regulatory CD4+ T cells (Tregs). |
