Mouse MAP2 ELISA Kit (RMEK-0153842)

Cat. No.: RMEK-0153842

Category: ELISA Kits

INQUIRY 1 x 96 tests
Mouse MAP2 ELISA Kit is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of MAP2 protein in cell culture supernatant, cit plasma, edta plasma, hep plasma, and serum. The technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time.

Target Information

Target Symbol MAP2
UniProt ID P11137
Biomarker of SCs/CSCs Non Small Cell Lung Cancer
Function The exact function of MAP2 is unknown but MAPs may stabilize the microtubules against depolymerization. They also seem to have a stiffening effect on microtubules.
Cellular Localization Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton.
Post-transcriptional Modifications Phosphorylated at serine residues in K-X-G-S motifs by MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase (MARK1 or MARK2), causing detachment from microtubules, and their disassembly (By similarity). Isoform 2 is probably phosphorylated by PKA at Ser-323, Ser-354 and Ser-386 and by FYN at Tyr-67.
