| Overview | Generate apical-out airway organoids in 15 days from human bronchial epithelial cells (HBECs) or human airway epithelial cells (HAECs) with a simple and scalable, -free protocol. These organoids provide access to the apical side of the airway epithelium and can be used to perform your infectious disease modeling or high-throughput drug screening in an in vitro, three-dimensional (3D) model system. With Apical-Out Airway Organoid Medium, you can grow polarized airway organoids with outward-facing, differentiated ciliated cells in 400 24-well plates - without the use of cell culture inserts. To maximize experimental reproducibility, this medium is formulated without serum or BPE. For a complete apical-out airway organoid culture workflow, expand your HBECs or HAECs in Medium prior to initiating organoid culture with Apical-Out Airway Organoid Medium. |
