| Biological Description | Novel, cell permeable Hedgehog signaling pathway antagonist (IC50 = 100-200 nM). Selectively binds to smoothened (Smo) (Ki = 44 nM). Blocks the formation of and induces the regression of basaloid lesions in skin punches and shrinks UV-induced basaloid lesions in adult mouse skin. Inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis in tumor cells without affecting non-tumor cells. |
