D4476 is a selective, potent, and cell-permeant inhibitor of casein kinase. It inhibits CK1 and CK1δ from S. pombe. It also inhibits transforming growth factor β1. Along with forskolin. Reprograms mouse somatic cells into pluripotent cells by acting as a chemical substitute for OCT4. Induces apoptosis of multiple myeloma cell lines. Exhibits anti-leukemic activity by selectively killing leukemia stem cells over normal hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells.
